We recognize that building or buying a new home is one of the most important decisions most people ever make. You never deal with a salesperson in our organization — only with one of the owners. Since our firm is small, building only ten to twelve homes per year, we can offer personal attention to each customer and to each home. We are sincerely dedicated to providing excellent service and craftsmanship in the style of housewrights of a century ago. But don't take our word for it — call us for a packet of unsolicited letters from our customers.

Spain & Cooper Construction is a full-service operation, offering everything from design assistance to decorating and other final touches.

Our services include:

  • In-house drafting and architectural design with a quick turn-around
  • Assistance with site selection
  • Decorating
  • Landscape design

There is no charge for these services as we feel they are all an important part of the process of building a home. We have prepared a booklet that provides a step-by-step outline of the building process, which most of our customers find very helpful.


warranty
For every home, Spain & Cooper Construction provides the 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty, which is a nationwide insured warranty program that automatically transfers to subsequent owners and remains in effect even if something happens to us.

The 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty program covers:

  • One year: the entire home
  • Two years: the heating and cooling, electrical and plumbing systems
  • Ten years: the entire home against structural defects

We furnish a booklet at closing with all of the following:

  • Warranties and service manuals for appliances and fixtures
  • A list of all subcontractors and suppliers who worked on the job
  • Pamphlets with valuable information on how to maintain your new home
  • Information about how to establish a new lawn
  • Facts about heating systems, energy audits and more

Each new homeowner gets a two- to three-hour orientation on the operations of the home and its systems.

We automatically contact our homeowners one month after closing and again at eleven months after closing to see if any problems have developed, and we make any needed corrections immediately — usually within 72 hours. Taking good care of the customer after the sale is as important, if not more important, than the construction process — and our service in this area is unsurpassed.
